Sustainability at Coastal Cabins
At Coastal Cabins, we believe that enjoying the outdoors comes with a responsibility to help protect it. As a family-run business, we are committed to making practical, long-term improvements that reduce our environmental impact while enhancing the guest experience.

One of our most significant recent investments has been the installation of a large solar energy system, helping to power the site using renewable energy and reducing our reliance on grid electricity. This forms an important part of our ongoing commitment to improving the sustainability of the business.
We encourage responsible waste management through clearly labelled recycling facilities available to all guests and have reduced unnecessary paper usage by replacing traditional cabin information folders and leaflets with digital QR codes, giving guests easy access to local information, guides and recommendations while significantly reducing printed materials.
We are proud to support local businesses wherever possible. Our coffee beans are sourced from a Devon roasters, while products featured in our breakfast hampers, including jams and freshly baked scones, are from local suppliers.
Our location naturally encourages low-impact tourism, with guests able to explore the surrounding coastline and countryside directly from the site. We further support this through our e-bike hire service, providing an environmentally friendly way to discover the local area.
Sustainability is an ongoing journey rather than a single project. As Coastal Cabins continues to grow, we remain committed to finding new ways to reduce our environmental impact, improve efficiency and help protect the beautiful North Devon landscape that makes our location so special.
